Sprint Finish to Money20/20
Having arrived in Vegas already, I woke up early for the start of the Money20/20 conference. First order of the day was to officially complete the race. I sprinted through the Venetian like a woman possessed in search of the finish line, where I was met with a chorus of applause from the room. As I crossed the line the relief washed over me as I came to terms with what I’d managed to accomplish over the past seven days.
The atmosphere with Fintech Finance was incredible as I met with my fellow racers for the first time since Buffalo and we shared our stories from the past week.
After some celebratory drinks and my first proper meal in what felt like an eternity I spent the rest of the time exploring the conference floor and taking in all the sights and sounds the world’s premier payments exhibition had to offer. I had been to Copenhagen for Money20/20 Europe but this was on another level all together. The conferences and talks were great, with Blockchain technology being a major talking point. There was a strong focus on how financial institution can leverage Blcokchain and cryptocurrencies in the digital age, and it was great to see such an open discussion around the subject.
Party Time at Money 20/20
It was only fitting that the week ended in style. Once day one of the conference was over, we partied long into the Vegas night, swapping stories of our trials and tribulations and discussing the pros and cons of our given payment method (or maybe we just danced the night away and had a good time…what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right?).
I had met so many incredible people on my journey and done and seen some once-in-a-lifetime things. I was sad that it was all over, but happy to be able to finally relax and enjoy myself for the remaining days and so proud of myself and the whole Bitcoin community who had helped Bitcoin to win the race.
